Considerations for Evaluating External Offers of Support in Crisis Recovery
Following a crisis event, districts often receive an outpouring of support, offers of help, and donations. The purpose of this brief is to provide district leadership teams with considerations for navigating the process of selecting supports from external entities during crisis response and recovery. It can be used for planning and preparation for crisis and emergencies as well as just-in-time during a crisis but is not meant to be a comprehensive implementation plan.
