Reducing the Effects of Implicit Bias in School Discipline

Research is showing that disproportionality in school discipline is related to implicit (unconscious) bias. This presentation will provide an overview of this concept and describe a training approach for reducing the effects of implicit bias in discipline decision making based on the data-based approach described in the previous session in the strand.
